American Irony
Autobahn Country Club (Joliet, IL) - 24 Hours of LeMons
LeMons returns to Autobahn for the second time this weekend to wrap up the Midwest region's final race.
According to our hooptied-out calculations, Subliminal Racing leads the region with 33 points. In second is Lemonaid Racing's two-car attack--a stock three-cylinder Geo Metro and a BMW E30--who trail with 25 points. For Lemonaid to have a shot at the regional title, they'll need a strong showing from both cars.
This will be a two-session, one-race weekend with the following session times:
Saturday: 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Sunday: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Tech and BS Inspections follow the normal schedule from noon to 5 p.m. on Friday. This is especially important because The Rusty Hub's own Eric Rood will be lording over BS Inspections and the penalty box all weekend alongside Judge Phil Greden, Chief Justice of the LeMons Supreme Court
Autobahn will host a test day all-day Friday. The test day will cost $150 per car and $25 for each additional driver. Complete this form and bring it to the track Friday to participate.
Early-week weather forecasts call for likely showers and thunderstorms Saturday with a high around 70. Sunday is expected to be partly sunny with highs in the upper 60s.
